Thierry Henry who was allegedly reported that he held the ball against Ireland in last November’s World Cup 2010 playoff. He won’t be suspended.
The Disciplinary Committee reached the conclusion that there was no legal foundation for the committee to consider the case because handling the ball cannot be regarded as a serious infringement as stipulated in article 77a of the FIFA Disciplinary Code. There is no other legal text that would allow the committee to impose sanctions for any incidents missed by match officials. And that means Thierry Henry will be at World Cup 2010 and will be free to play for France at the same time putting smiles on the France funs who are willing to be with the team till the last game

After the dark two days before the kick off of the 2010 Angola Africa cup of nations that involved Togo national team being attacked by Rebels in Cabinda, the much criticized tournament kicked off yesterday in style. Goals from Seydou Keita (79), Frederic Kanoute (88), Seydou Keita (93) and Mustapha Yatabare (94) were just enough to secure apoint for Keisha’s boys. Sad news as we get so close to the Africa Cup of nation 2010 in Angola , Yesterday it was bad luck for the Togolese National team as they got attacked by a group of armed men that belong to the FLEC (Forces For the liberation of Cabinda). The fact for now is that the attack was not football related and has nothing to do with CAF and the Africa cup of nations organizers.
The attack took place as the Togolese tour bus was crossing boarders from the Democratic Republic of Congo into Angola to Cabinda an oil rich area in Angola has always been wanted by the FLEC rebels. This where friendly matches between African national team have been taking place. The armed men fired bullet and the Togo players dived in the bus. The Togo national team security group fired back to calm the situation. Two Togolese Players were confirmed injured including one goal keeper who had a gun shot on one of his kidneys.
We are not sure whether the Togolese team will be able to participate in this highest profile event on the African continent that takes place every two years. Among the many players in the attacked bus was Togolese captain and premiership super striker Emmanuel Adebayo. It also confirmed that bus driver was killed during the exchange of gun with the Togo security group and the rebels.

Nigeria qualified in dramatic fashion with a 3-2 win against Kenya in Nairobi. The Super Eagles had to win to have any chance of denying Tunisia. They fought back from 1-0 down to lead 2-1, but conceded a 79th-minute equaliser, only for Obafemi Martins to seal an emotional win.
Nigeria coach Amodu Shaibu: “This is a typical Nigerian side which you can never rule out when it is faced with adversity. It’s fantastic. Now we have to go back home and map out the preparations.
